Visiting Researcher
February–December, 2014
My research stay at the University of Alberta was partially funded by the Campus Hungary Scholarship Program. My primary research topic was Dolomitization of Middle Triassic Shallow Marine Carbonates in SW Hungary, and my secondary research topic was Diagenetic Evolution of Paleozoic Siliciclastic and Carbonate Sequences of the Yukon Territory, Canada.
During this research stay, I performed petrographic analysis of dolomite, sandstone and shale samples; conducted cathodoluminescence microscopic and microspectroscopic analysis of dolomite and sandstone samples; interpreted minor and trace element data collected on dolomite samples; reconstructed the paragenetic sequence of diagenetic events; prepared manuscripts and reports; and assisted in field work in the Canadian Rocky Mountains.
