In this position I worked on various stratigraphic and sedimentological problems related to Triassic carbonate successions, and paleoclimate reconstruction based on Quaternary red paleosols in Southern Transdanubia. I collected field samples, prepared thin sections, performed petrographic analysis of carbonate samples, sampled for and interpreted stable carbon and oxygen isotope data, and prepared research grant applications and conference abstracts/presentations. Some of this work led to the development of my Ph.D. project, which I completed later at Oklahoma State University. Other parts were published separately as conference abstract, and later as journal article.
