During this internship I had the opportunity to visit many company facilities focused on exploration and production. I visited drill sites, where I observed drilling and cementing operations. I also visited and worked at geochemical and petrophysical laboratories, where I prepared and analyzed samples with High-Performance Liquid Chromatography method, and learned the principles of various analytical techniques, including Rock-Eval analysis, vitrinite reflectance measurements, biomarker analysis with gas chromatography–mass spectrometry, Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy, Core Measurement System, Hg-porosimetry, PVT analysis, etc.
